In continuation of our "Alumni Quotes Series by PIMA-UAE", we would like to introduce Mr Ajantha Premarathna, who is also known as "Aja". He is an old boy of Mahinda College, Galle, Sri Lanka, and a Chartered Quantity Surveyor, who holds three fellow memberships from professional Quantity Surveying Institutions in Sri Lanka, Australia and the United Kingdom. Ajantha has over 35 years of hands-on experience in Quantity Surveying, Contract Administration and Dispute Resolution in the Construction Industry in Sri Lanka, the Sultanate of Oman and the UAE.

Ajantha is the current Chairman of the Sri Lanka Professionals Association in the UAE and the President of the Australian Institute of Quantity Surveyors – International Chapter (Region 02), and the Past President (2013-2015) of the Postgraduate Institute of Management Alumni - UAE (PIMA-UAE). Introducing "Alumni Quote Series by PIMA-UAE". This is a new initiative from the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Committee to share their own ideas of our Alumni and their vibrant profiles with the wider communities. We are proud to introduce Mr Parakrama Munaweera as the first member to be featured in this Project.
Parakrama, fondly known as “Para” in professional and social circles, is a passionate leader, a mentor and a thinker. An ardent supporter of professional development had immensely contributed to the growth of fellow professionals and youth. Para is currently working at Etisalat as a Senior Project Manager – ELV/ICT Networks. He is a member of IIESL, a PMP certified Project Manager and a holder of double Masters Degrees including an MBA from the prestigious Postgraduate Institute of Management, Sri Lanka.
Para was our very first President of PIMA-UAE and a long-standing Alumni. He was instrumental in commencing of PIM MBA degree programme in the UAE. We thank you for all your efforts and proud to have you as an Alumnus!
